Even though it was a rainy day, Cassi & Nick’s wedding was absolutely beautiful. It took place at Cassi’s dad’s house on Lobdel Lake in Fenton, which was a great location with the water as a lovely background.
The bride and groom chose their date (July 30) because, after googling the date, they found that is hadn’t rained on that date in 15 years. Thinking it was going to be a hot and sunny July day, they prepared sunglasses for guest favors and got ready for an outdoor ceremony.
And then…it rained.
But Cassi and Nick took it all in stride and even though the weather wasn’t what they expected, they adapted easily. When we arrived, the bridesmaids were preparing rain boots that they had purchased that morning. Umbrellas were incorporated into their photos. The reception was still a rocking, dancing good time.
We’re so glad we could be a part of your day, Cassi and Nick! We have no doubt that you will be able to walk through your life together with the same grace and adaptation that you showed on your wedding day. Best wishes for the future!
