Ruth & Jason {Frankenmuth Wedding Photographers}

Ruth and Jason’s October wedding was fantastic and I’m so glad I got to capture it! I photographed Ruth and Jason for their engagement session in the summer and really enjoyed not only photographing the two of them, but getting to know them as well. They are so loving together and so obviously meant to be.

Ruth and Jason’s wedding and reception took place in Frankenmuth (I love Frankenmuth). The church, St. Lorenz, is a gorgeous Lutheran church with beautiful brick on the outside – perfect for outdoor photos. Even though the day started off a bit cold and very windy, every person in the wedding party and immediate families was a trooper. No complaints at all about being in the cold, just lots of joy and smiles. And for many shots, Ruth’s long veil flowed perfectly behind her in the wind!

Ruth and Jason shared a first look outside the church (after reading notes from each other) before we started family photos and it was so perfect. Jason’s joy and emotion at seeing his bride in her wedding dress for the first time was incredible. I was tearing up behind the camera!

After their ceremony and some family photos in the church, we headed to two locations that Ruth and Jason had chosen for photos of the wedding party and two of them. First we went to the Lager Mill (where we did their engagement session) in downtown Frankenmuth. The river and a sandy shore are behind the Mill, and I joked with the wedding party that I hadn’t expected to be doing a beach shoot in October! It was a great backdrop and the wedding party was so fun to work with!

After the Lager Mill, we went to Cross Park near Bronner’s for more photos and the light was just amazing. I think the photos we took there are my favorite from the day.

After outdoor photos, it was on to the reception at Sullivan’s Black Forest, where the Dueling Pianos Experience from Rusch Entertainment keep the guests entertained throughout the night.
