Sydney and Eric’s wedding was the first of my 2017 wedding season and it was a wonderful one to kick off with! These two are so great together. Sydney has the most beautiful smile and Eric is kindhearted guy with a great sense of humor. When I photographed them together throughout the day, their love for each other was so obvious. Looking at each other, they saw no one else in the room.
The day started off at Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio (right down the road from our studio!). After picking up Sydney’s dress and details from her, I began looking for a good place to hang her dress for a photo. As soon as I unzipped the garment bag, I fell in love! Sydney chose a gorgeous dress that was simple, elegant and stunning.
After photographing details and Sydney getting ready, I met Eric as he arrived and photographed him putting the finishing touches on his suit. Then we stepped into the sanctuary for some photos of him with his groomsmen and family.
The ceremony was beautiful. Sydney and Eric were so happy to finally see each other and say their vows to each other in front of their guests.
I loved the locations that the couple chose for their photos between the ceremony and reception! First we went to Eric’s grandma’s home, where they had their engagement photos taken. It’s a beautiful property with plenty of great photo backdrops.

Then we headed to the bride and groom’s home on their family farm for photos with their (super cute) dog and wedding party.
The reception was held at Arbela Township Hall in Millington. The bride and groom choose great decorations – the room looked gorgeous! Dinner was delicious and the couple had a great time socializing with their guests and sharing their first dance together, then the father/daughter dance and mother/son dance.
