Bri & Nate are genuinely a great couple! They are completely crazy about each other and aren’t afraid to show it (which of course photographers just love!!). We were super stoked to capture Nate’s marriage proposal and again thrilled to photograph their actual engagement session.
Bri is our staff photographer here at Enjoy the View Photography so she is regularly immersed in weddings, weddings, weddings which is a perk when planning your own wedding (I remember this from way back when…). But as all-consuming as wedding and honeymoon planning can be, Bri & Nate have kept their focus on the most important end result from all this decision making, money spending, partying, joy, frustration, crafting, etc: they will BE MARRIED!! It’s a joy to know a couple that has the real deal as their top priority.
They took a break from all that planning to enjoy some fun together at their engagement session. We chose a late afternoon time and Buell Lake for our location.
Just after the first series of images in the woods, it started raining. Session cancelled, we have to reschedule…just kidding! Bri & Nate hopped out of the car and started dancing in the rain. I hope this is how they handle all storms in their marriage. Hand in hand, finding joy in every circumstance.

Rainbows during your photo session are a good sign, right? Yeah. I’m pretty sure that’s a rule.
Nate brought his canoe and we wrapped up the session with the two of them goofing around with it.
