I absolutely love Lauren and Ryan together! These two are a perfect match.

I met Lauren a few times before her wedding and loved talking with her! She’s funny, kind and so much fun to spend time with. I was so excited to photograph her wedding and couldn’t wait to meet Ryan – I knew he had to be a special guy to snag Lauren!

On their wedding day, I started off photographing Lauren as she got ready and got into her dress. After her bridesmaids helped with her jewelry and her mom put on her veil, we headed downstairs to the courtyard of the Marriott in Lansing for some photos of the girls.

Lauren was a gorgeous bride!

After hanging out with the girls, I popped over to the guys’ hotel suite and met Ryan. I knew as soon as I met him that he is a perfect compliment to Lauren. He’s good-natured and good-hearted…and totally crazy about Lauren!

The ceremony was held at The Chapel at Hawk Hollow in Lansing. It was my first time shooting there and I really loved the big wooden doors at the entrance of the chapel. The lighting there was really gorgeous for some portraits of Ryan and Lauren after the ceremony.

The grounds at Hawk Hollow were beautiful for photos and because the ceremony was at 5 pm, we got to take advantage of some beautiful evening light, which I always love!

After the bride and groom made their entrance, the toasts began, followed by a delicious plated dinner (I had the steak and it was so good!).

Dinner was followed by cake cutting, dancing and plenty of fun as everyone celebrated the new Mr. and Mrs. Tabor. Later in the evening, I took Ryan and Lauren outside in the evening for some for some portraits.

It was John and Tammy’s 40th wedding anniversary so Lauren and Ryan honored them with a song for just the two of them on the dance floor. John and Tammy are Beth’s parents and also related to Lauren, so it was fun to see them there at the reception!

Lauren and Ryan, your day was so much fun to photograph! Everything ran so smoothly and the two of you were so wonderful to work with. I know that you guys are going to rock marriage and I hope to see you again soon!
