As photographers who have been shooting weddings in the mid-Michigan area for over 15 years, we have the opportunity to visit a lot of venues and work with a lot of vendors. There are so many wonderful vendors in our area and for the next few months, we’re going to be featuring our favorites right here on our blog. These are places and people we look forward to working with every year because of their talent and exceptional service.
This week’s featured vendor: The Milestone Barn in Bannister
We have been fortunate enough to work at The Milestone Barn in Bannister three times this season. It’s one of our favorite places and one of the first barns-turned-wedding-venues in the area.
One of the great things about Milestone (and there are plenty of great things about it) is that the entire property offers so many great places for photos. Once you’re on site, you don’t need to leave to get a variety of gorgeous photos. There are plenty of little nooks thought the property – fencing with greenery, chairs, pews, doors, archways – as well as fields and the barn itself.
The owners of the barn are incredible to work with and very dedicated. During one of our Milestone weddings this year, a huge storm came through and took out some power lines. The staff of The Milestone Barn got to work immediately, hauling out generators and turning them on to make sure the party continued on with no hiccups. We were so impressed with the resourcefulness and skill of Carolyn and her team.
