I cross my heart and promise to give all I’ve got to give to make all your dreams come true,
In all the world, you’ll never find a love as true as mine. – George Strait, “Cross My Heart”
I first photographed Marissa and Michael for their engagement session in August of last year and had a great time with them. They are easygoing and fun, so I knew their wedding day would be a blast. And I was right – it definitely was!
We started off in Saginaw at the church to hang out with the guys and girls while they were getting ready. Marissa had two photos of her grandpas on her bouquet – I really love that idea of honoring a loved one by carrying their photo on a wedding bouquet.
I love this sweet photo of Marissa and her dad:
When Marissa came down the aisle, Michael started to tear up – it was such a special moment…
…and the best man was quick to have Michael’s back and wipe away his tears! That’s a good best man right there.
Marissa’s niece was the flower girl and pretty much stole the show!
Between the ceremony and reception, we headed to downtown Bay City for some photos of the wedding party and bride and groom:
The reception was held at Great Hall in Midland and decorated beautifully! In addition to the cake, there was a table of desserts made by family members and a smores bar!
So many sweet and fun dancing photos!
Marissa and Michael, your day was full of joy and I had such a wonderful time being a part of it! I pray that the joy from your wedding day carries on throughout your marriage,
Bri
