When Meghan and Ben planned their wedding for the end of September in Michigan, they had to take into consideration the fact that it might be cold or rainy or maybe even snowy. What they didn’t expect was a humid 90 degree day…but that’s exactly what they got. I could not believe how hot it was! But Meghan and Ben and their wedding party took it all in stride and didn’t let the heat stop them from enjoying their day!
I loved so much about Meghan and Ben’s day, from their venue (the Flint Farmers’ Market) to their color palette (navy blue and gray with rose gold and pinks). Meghan’s dress was a gorgeous Etsy find and Ben looked super sharp in his navy suit.
Meghan and Ben chose to do a first look and it was an emotional (and beautiful!) moment between them.
Before the ceremony, we did some photos with a classic car that Ben worked on with his late uncle.
Isn’t the Flint Farmers’ Market such a cool venue for a wedding? I love all the natural light!
After the ceremony, the wedding party powered through the heat and humidity for some photos outside…
…with the leaves on the ground, you wouldn’t think these photos were taken on a 90 degree day, would you?
Once we headed back inside (and into the blessed air conditioning), the bride and groom made their entrance into the reception and then the party began!
Toward the end of the night, I took Meghan and Ben upstairs to an outdoor eating area with beautiful cafe lights for some night shots. I’m so glad they were willing to step away from their reception for a quick evening photo session!
