Lea & Andrew {Troy/Frankenmuth Wedding Photographers}

Being a part of Lea and Andrew’s beautiful October wedding was such a joy! I loved watching/photographing these two interact! They are obviously crazy about each other and oh-so-romantic together. I felt very privileged to capture the first day of their married life together.

The day started at Lea’s parents’ home, where the girls got ready. Lea put on her dress in her childhood bedroom, which was such a special moment.

After Lea was dressed and ready to go, I drove to the church, St. Petka Serbian Orthodox Church in Troy, to meet up with Andrew and prepare for the ceremony. Andrew’s family has been involved in St. Petka for a long time and it was so interesting hearing about the church’s history. Also, the church is gorgeous and I was so excited to shoot there!

After the ceremony, we did some family photos and photos of the bride and groom in the church…

…then headed to Frankenmuth for some portraits of the wedding party and bride and groom before the reception began at the Bavarian Inn Lodge. First we stopped at the spot where Andrew proposed to Lea:

Then we headed up near the Covered Bride for some portraits.

We ended our portrait time at a beautiful spot near the Lodge with the Covered Bridge in the background. The light was just perfect for some beautiful shots of the bride and groom:

Then we headed to the Lodge to get the party started! The wedding cake was made by Andrew’s family’s bakery, Almont Pastry Shop! It fit both the bride and groom’s love of Halloween perfectly.

Lea and Andrew’s reception was full of heartfelt toasts and speeches, fun dancing and great food! It was such a joyous time of celebrating the couple.
