I first photographed Kristina and Pat for their very snowy and cold engagement session in Frankenmuth in March. Despite the cold, they were wonderful to photograph and I had no trouble getting some super cute images of them just being crazy about each other. I knew their wedding would be lots of fun with plenty of love and great photo opportunities, especially because the ceremony was taking place at the Temple Theatre in Saginaw. The Temple is a wonderful venue for photography and we always love working there.
We started the day at the Temple where both Kristina and Pat were preparing for the day. I started off photographing some of Kristina’s details, including her beautiful dress and shoes. After staying in the room with Kristina for a while and photographing her finishing her hair and makeup and then getting her dress on, I went and found Pat and photographed him getting ready as well. Once the two of them were ready, we set them up for their first look on the gorgeous stairway in the foyer.
After the first look and photos with both families, the ceremony took place in the Leopard Lounge of the Temple. Pat’s grandmother was the officiant, which was really special.
Once the ceremony and bubble exit were done, we headed back into the Temple and the staff opened up the theater itself for photos. I love shooting in the historical setting of the theater. It feels vintage and glamorous and makes for some beautiful, dramatic photos.
The chandelier in the lobby also makes for a beautiful background!
Of course we had to get some shots of Kristina and Pat in front of their sign!
The reception was held at James Township Hall in Saginaw and was a super fun celebration of Kristina and Pat’s first day of their new life together!
There were so many cute shots of Kristina and Pat’s first dance that it was hard to narrow it down!
I love these dreamy shots of the bride and groom outside the reception hall. We had to take advantage of the beautiful golden hour light!
