You may remember Jessica and Jon from their very cold May engagement session in Frankenmuth (which they absolutely rocked). When their wedding day arrived, I was so excited to photograph them again.
Jessica and Jon are both from Michigan, but actually met in Texas. They are a beautiful couple and totally in love. Their wedding day started in Caseville, where both the girls and guys got ready at separate locations. Jessica’s dress was stunning and she made an absolutely gorgeous bride (like, wedding magazine cover gorgeous).

The guys got ready at Jon’s family’s beach cottage across the street. His parents helped him put the finishing touches on his suit…
…and then we stepped outside for a few shots with the beach in the background.
The ceremony and reception both were supposed to take place at the Scenic Golf and Country Club in Pigeon. I say “supposed to” because unfortunately, a few minutes into the ceremony start time…
…the rain started…
…we all took cover….
…and we relocated to a church down the road!
When the pastor asked who was giving away the bride, Jessica’s dad said, “Her mother and I…again.” Everyone laughed and the entire church erupted into applause.
After the ceremony, we headed back to the golf course, where the rain had stopped and the sun had come back out.
I have never photographed a bridesmaid human pyramid before and I have to give huge credit to these girls for pulling it off!

The reception was decorated beautifully, the toasts were heartfelt and funny, and the food was awesome! The prime rib was fantastic.
We went back outside at sunset for a few more portraits of the new Mr. and Mrs.
Jessica and Jon, I really, truly enjoyed being a part of your wedding day! I appreciated your positive attitudes throughout the day, even during the rain. I know you two are going to have an amazing time as husband and wife!
