Andrea & Caleb {Holly Wedding Photographers}

Andrea and Caleb got married on the day that winter really came to Michigan! The entire season up to their day had been fairly mild with little to no snow. Then, on the morning of Andrea and Caleb’s wedding, it snowed. It snowed a lot. Andrea said to me when I arrived at the hotel where she was getting ready: “I wanted a winter wedding, not winter on my wedding!” Despite the weather, both she and Caleb were in wonderful spirits and ready to start the rest of their lives together.

I spent some time hanging out with both the men and women of the wedding party at a hotel in Grand Blanc while they got ready in their separate rooms. Both the guys and girls were so much fun to spend time with and I was really looking forward to spending the rest of the day with them.

After everyone was ready, we all headed over to the ceremony venue, The Holly Vault. I actually live in Holly, so I was super excited to finally be able to photograph a wedding at this super cool venue I see all the time downtown! I was also really excited to use Battle Alley for portraits of the bride and groom later. This past summer, the village of Holly strung hundreds of Edison style light bulbs above the small street downtown, and it looks gorgeous!

The Holly Vault is a stunning venue. The ceremony took place in the same room as the reception with a beautiful background set up behind the altar area. Andrea’s brother-in-law performed the ceremony and did a wonderful job.

After family photos in the ceremony area, it was time to head back out into the cold for outdoor portraits with the wedding party! These guys did great. No complaining at all about the weather. They were just genuinely happy to be supporting and celebrating the bride and groom! We first stopped at Bevins Lake and used the gazebo area there. Then we headed back downtown, the wedding party went into the Vault to warm up while Andrea and Caleb stayed outside with me for a few more portraits. These guys are so cute together!

After dinner and a little dancing, we headed back outside to go to Battle Alley. This was the part of the day I was looking forward to the most! I loved photographing the new husband and wife under the lights!

Andrea and Caleb, it was a joy to spend your wedding day with you! Wishing you all the best in your new life together! – Bri
