Shelby & Tim {Davison Wedding Photographers}

Shelby and Tim planned to have their ceremony in their backyard, but Michigan being Michigan, they had to change venue because their yard was flooded! It just goes to show that you can plan your absolute best for a wedding, but when it comes to the day, you gotta be able to improvise and go with the flow! And Shelby and Tim did. They moved their ceremony to their reception venue in Davison and it was beautiful.

I started the day by going to Shelby and Tim’s home to photograph them getting ready. Their dog Loki (who joined them for their engagement session) hung out with Shelby while her aunt helped her put on her dress!

The ceremony was perfect and I loved that as Shelby was walking down the aisle, she stopped to help her grandpa rise from his seat. After the ceremony, we stepped outside for some family photos and then went to Richfield Park for portraits of the bride and groom. I loved having that time with them in the peaceful park setting. Ironically, it’s so rare for the bride and groom to get alone time on their wedding day!

After finishing up at Richfield Park, we headed back to the reception. Dinner was delicious, made up of almost all homemade dishes! At the end of the night, the bride and groom arranged a sparkler exit, which is always great for photos.

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Bentley and thank you for having us as a part of your day! – Bri
