Kendra and Cody are such a great couple! They’re from Bad Axe and I’m from Sebewaing (both in the Thumb) – it’s always fun to work for other people from my hometown area! And I always love photographing couples in Frankenmuth.
I started the day by meeting Kendra in her room at the Bavarian Inn Lodge and hanging out with her while she got ready.
After Kendra was all ready and looking gorgeous, she wanted to do a first look with her dad. I have to say it was one of the most emotional first looks between a dad and his daughter I’ve ever photographed! Mike was so overjoyed to see his only daughter as a bride.
After the first look, we photographed Kendra with her family and bridesmaids…
…then we headed over to spend time with Cody while he got ready and spent some time with his family and groomsmen.
I stopped back in Kendra’s room before the ceremony to get a few beautiful portraits of her in the window light!
The ceremony was held in the Sommer Garten of the Bavarian Inn and was just beautiful.
When the officiant handed Kendra the signed marriage license, Kendra turned to the crowd and said “I got it!” The entire crowd cracked up.
After some family photos at the ceremony site, we headed down by the river and photographed the new Mr. and Mrs. with their wedding party.
Love that we got the river boat in the background!
After photos, we headed back to the Lodge to get the reception started!
Kendra’s mom surprised Kendra and Cody with confetti guns during their first dance! And I think “surprised” is definitely the right word!
I am so glad that Kendra and Cody were willing to step outside at golden hour for some more portraits. That light was gorgeous.
