I adore Abbey and Dan! I photographed them for their engagement session in Frankenmuth months before their wedding, and even though it was a rainy day, they were absolute troopers and we had a great time together. I knew I was going to love photographing them on their wedding day.
I met Abbey and Dan and their wedding party at MSU, where they started the day with a first look between the bride and groom (love it!). After that, I photographed the wedding party and bride and groom together throughout the Horticultural Gardens, where Abbey spent a lot of time as a college student. We also spent some time at the MSU Radiology Healing Gardens, which was founded by Dan’s grandparents.
The ceremony and reception took place at the Brookshire Inn and Golf Club, a beautiful venue! Some of my favorite parts of the day were the lavender plant that Abbey and Dan poured soil from significant places into as their unity ceremony, chicken tenders for appetizers (what? amazing!), donations to the Humane Society instead of clinking glasses to get the bride and groom to kiss and Dan’s first dance with his mom (so sweet).
Abbey and Dan had a truly beautiful wedding day and I’m so glad I got to be a part of it! – Bri
