I absolutely loved Jessica and Chris’ wedding day! It was not their original plan – like many 2020 couples, they had to adjust their wedding because of Covid-19. They were originally planning on getting married at a distillery with more people in attendance, but they scaled their day down and had an intimate ceremony on their rooftop in Chicago. What an amazing idea!
Jessica and Chris’s home is beautiful and it was the perfect setting for their day. Chris built the pergola that was the focal point of their wedding ceremony. They did a first look at the 606, an elevated trail that runs through their neighborhood. We also used an overpass near their home with beautiful vines for portraits. There was a tiny bit of rain before the ceremony, but it cleared up quickly and the rest of the day was beautiful! One of my favorite parts of the day was when Jessica surprised Chris with a live band, lead by the man who is giving Chris guitar lessons!
Jessica and Chris, thank you so much for bringing me out to Chicago to photograph your incredible day! I was truly honored to be a part of it. – Bri
Dear Bri,
This is Jan, Jessica’s mom. Thanks so much to you and your sweet husband for coming to Chicago to photograph Jess’ and Chris’ wedding, which did turn out perfectly, although modified, as you indicated. I was thrilled when I saw the pictures of the wedding! Several friends who have viewed the photos have commented on how great the lighting was. Your photographer’s eye scoped out beautiful, though urban, backdrops which only added to the aesthetic of the at home wedding. I enjoyed the few minutes I got to spend talking with you and your husband during the rooftop reception. You do beautiful work and I’m so glad for the lasting memories we will have through photos.
